Dear friends, in this critical period of the pandemic, we have the luck and the opportunity to continue working as usual in our Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg. We are therefore pleased to present three ballets that represent the « visiting card » of our school: the « dance of the hours » from Ponchielli’s « Gioconda » choreography by M. Petipa and N. Tsiskaridze. Bayer’s « The Fairy Doll  » choreography by the Legat brothers, K. Sergheev and N. Tsiskaridze. The waltz of flowers and the grand pas de deux from Tchaikovsky’s « Nutcracker », choreography by V. Vainonen.

I personally curated the Nutcracker and Fairy Doll’s corps de ballet together with my colleagues Yulia Kasenkova and Tatiana Solomenko, plus the soloist of the Gioconda (Yuval Cohen) and the pas de trois of the Fairy Doll (Lisa Avsiagianashvili, Yan Begishev, Kian Menghise) with my beloved colleague Ludmilla Kovaleva.
